Charity Shop Pop Releases Timely New Track ‘Lonely On Sunday’

Whilst most shops stay closed at this time, there’s one in particular we’re glad to see that are cracking on with business as usual as Charity Shop Pop releases his latest single Lonely (On Sunday), with the music video featuring this rather cute dog, Duke.

This alone is a good reason to tune in, however, if you’re more audio based or just don’t like really cute dogs you’ll be pleased to know the song itself is amazing too! As the title suggests, the song is perfect for that ‘Sunday Sound’, winding lazily along and taking you with it. Self-described as ‘pop hits to hit you hard in the feels with his lack of experience of love and break ups (sic)’. It’s sometimes refreshing to hear a song that isn’t based around love and the hardships that go with it. As is often the case they can be the vessels to drive us to write these kinds of songs, a tale of heartache to bring to boil all those emotions. Or you can just write a great song about wanting to spend Sunday with your dog.

Based in Ormskirk, David Hughes has been building upon recent successes with his tracks being played by Dave Monks, Janice Long and Gary Crowley. His blend of ambient and melodic songs are the ideal combination, and we look forward to plenty more from him in the near future!

You can catch David at any good charity shop (when they’re open), but for now you’ll have to settle with finding him on social media instead – Facebook, Twitter, Instagram.
