Buyers VS Burgess – A Dining Event Like No Other
Forget ‘blow for blow’, Daniel Heffy of Secret Diners Club and Steven Burgess of Rhubarb & Custard are set to go ‘dish for dish’ next week – as the two chefs prepare to battle it out during an unusual culinary evening to raise money for Action Against Hunger.
Taking place on Thursday 15 September at Buyers Club; ‘Buyers VS Burgess’ will see the chefs work together to create an exquisite six-course menu – with each chef curating and cooking three-courses.
At the end of the evening, diners will vote for the courses they enjoyed most and a winning chef will be crowned.

All profits from the evening’s tickets will be donated to Action Against Hunger, an international humanitarian organisation working to end child hunger, who Steven is fundraising for in preparation for a gruelling trek across Ethiopia in October.
Joined by a number of chefs, restaurateurs and hospitality industry experts from across the North – Steven will take on an 80 kilometre hike through the Simien Mountains for four days and at altitudes of up to 4400 metres – in a bid to raise vital funds for Action Against Hunger’s lifesaving programmes.
Tickets are priced at £60 with all profits going to Action Against Hunger.
