Jurgen Klopp and Jordan Henderson Will Lead Online Video Tributes on 31st Anniversary of Hillsborough

Liverpool FC manager Jurgen Klopp and club captain Jordan Henderson will appear in online video tributes today, on the 31st Anniversary of Hillsborough.

The club will release special videos via the Liverpool FC official website and social media channels as the Anfield memorial service had to be cancelled due to the Coronavirus lockdown.

Watch Jurgen Klopp’s message below.

It’s been confirmed that the Liverpool players and staff will observe a minutes silence from their homes at 3.06pm and there will still be a banner displayed at Anfield  and a wreath will be laid at the stadium’s Hillsborough memorial to mark the anniversary.

The service that was meant to take place at Anfield  in memory of the 96 supporters who died in the match against Nottingham Forest would have been the last one to be held there.

Today is a day that unites the whole city of Liverpool, football rivalries are put aside and we come together to pay tribute to all of those who tragically lost their lives.

Tributes and messages of support have flooded in from across the world and as always, Everton have paid tribute to their neighbours across Stanley Park with the below post on their social media channels.
