Alpine Village Has Returned To PINS – Complete With A 400-Capacity Rooftop Lodge

Leading Duke Street venue PINS Social Club has revealed its plans for the Winter season and they’ve turned festivities up to 11.

Launched this week, the popular Alpine Village event takes over all of the venue’s three huge floors once again with an exciting day-to-night programme.

Well-known in Liverpool for its games and activities such as bowling, pool and shuffleboard, PINS has also made a name for itself with the delivery of its unique own-brand events throughout the year and Alpine Village sits at the pinnacle of its calendar.

Undergoing a major development and investment during October and November, PINS Rooftop space has been transformed into a timber-clad Lodge, complete with giant sliding barn-style doors and bi-fold windows.

Whilst the roof itself remains retractable, the new structure provides greater comfort for guests, with new furniture and heaters installed, giving warmth even on the chilliest of days.

Decorated with swags of fir and spruce, wreaths and twinkling lights, The Roof offers full table service so guests can cosy up with throws and stay snug in the Winter sunshine. It even comes complete with open fires, perfect for toasting S’Mores.

Another new addition coming to The Roof this November is a collaboration with Chef Livia Alarcon, who will be in residence for the whole season.

Former Head Chef of Maray, Livia has also cooked alongside Michelin-starred Chef Jason Atherton, and has developed a bespoke menu for Alpine Village with dishes sent directly from the open rooftop kitchen.

PINS Alpine Village Food

Guests can expect big flavours and original takes on winter warmer classics, with decadent garnishes bringing a fun twist between premium ingredients and street food.

Menu highlights include a molten Baked Raclette with savoury Churros, Cornichons & Mustard, and Parmesan & Black Truffle Fried Mac and Cheese Bites, finished with extra Truffle.

Bigger bites include a Shortrib French Dip, slow cooked Beef Short Rib, glazed in Gravy and served with crispy Onions and Emmental – just the thing to keep cold at bay.

Partnering with premium Vodka brand Grey Goose, drinks on The Roof this year have taken a retro turn with Cherry or Orange & Cinnamon Coke Floats both with Grey Goose Vodka, and boozy Hot Chocolates with Orange Grey Goose.

There’s also a choice of Frozen Margarita in both Honey & Gingerbread and Black Cherry flavours as well as flights of Black Cherry and Apple Pie shots served on retro skis.

As night falls, slope down into the Main Bar and join revellers for a weekend of Après Club parties.

Home to the longest bar in the city and a curated seasonal cocktail menu, Fridays kick off with Happy Hour from 5pm followed by Friday Night Bandstand, PINS newest immersive live music event based on American TV shows, and featuring energetic performances from solo artists, duos and bands.

Saturdays start with Breakfast in the newly redeveloped Lobby Lounge, home to a pop-up from Press Bros. Coffee and the recently launched Egg Champ menu, before being followed by Brunch and Bowl at 1 pm and 3 pm.

One of the city’s most popular brunches, it’s the only one to feature not only bottomless pizzas and drinks but also a game of bowling on the venue’s 12-full sized lanes.

As the name suggests, Saturday night’s Parade event is all about spectacle and sees the venue’s dancers whipping up the crowd, with themed performances and resident DJs playing until the small hours.

Walk-ups to Friday and Saturday’s Après Club events are welcomed – however, the venue team anticipate that they’ll be their busiest nights over the Winter period, so advise guests to arrive early or make an advance booth or table reservation to avoid disappointment.

For all bookings, including The Roof please book online on www.pinssocialclub.co.uk or email [email protected].

Alpine Village is open now and runs until 31 December 2022.
