There are two things that I love in this life, and they are pizza and music. That is why I was so happy when I discovered McGuire’s Pizza. This Pizza bar (located on Renshaw Street) is as unique as it is familiar. Styled after the pizza bars of New York, McGuire’s creates an identifiable and comforting atmosphere at the same time as being unlike most places you’ve ever visited. The walls are adorned with images of pop culture and the floor with that familiar black and white tiling seen often in establishments of this sort.

McGuire’s offers a fantastic range of great tasting pizza, all at reasonable prices (£1.90 – &2.10 a slice). If you want to wet your water hole McGuire’s also offers you a great selection of beverages as well. For £3.50 you can grab yourself a slice and a can of cider. Now, that’s not something to turn your nose up at…Unless that is you’re not a fan of stone baked pizza and cider; and if that’s the case then be gone with you. I joke…but I do suggest you see a psychologist as soon as possible. You may have a problem.

McGuire’s doesn’t just offer you food to sooth your body it also offers you food for the soul (or a less clichéd lead in. The choice is really yours). The establishment also offers live music in the downstairs room. These bands night happen regularly, as the venue is free to hire for bands. McGuire’s is really a great place for young bands to cut their teeth, as well as being a great place for others to season their craft.
