Square Pegs To Host All-Day Event For Families In Liverpool’s Baltic Triangle
To celebrate turning one, Square Pegs invite you to party with them at their spiritual home, Constellations. As it’s their birthday they’ve got a little something extra for mums and dads; we’re talking full bar, street food and global grooves from world-renowned DJs.
The kids will be kept entertained with a whole host of creative workshops, from collaging to DJ-ing and body-grooving to storytelling; whatever their creative preference, the Pegs will provide a day to remember.
Artist Liz Harry, who has designed album artwork for the likes of The Coral and The Zutons, will be running collaging workshops where children can create their own wall hangings.
Keeping the children active and inspired whilst learning new skills will be Freefall Circus and Toddle & Groove.Local producer SertOne will lead sessions in electronic music-making, by exploring sound using Makey-Makey, a unique invention kit for the 21st century.
Taking over the turntables at their silent disco, will be Fingathing’s Peter Parker, uniting kids and grown ups on the dance floor underneath a giant disco ball. Other activities and attractions include face painting, screen-printing, a treasure hunt, storytelling, a designated soft-play toddler zone and Square Pegs’ art trailer where children can relax, read and soak up the party vibes.
As well as artisan stalls, families can sample Liverpool’s first and only vegan Caribbean menu provided by ItalFresh.
As a birthday bonus, special guest DJ’s will play from 12 through till 8, featuring Superhero Selectors, The king of Calypso, The Coolest Collectors of Kid Friendly Funk and a couple of Disco Dads including:
