Liverpool Whisky Festival 2015; The Crypt (Metropolitan Cathedral) 5th September

The Liverpool Whiskey Festival returns this year to The Crypt beneath the iconic Metropolitan Cathedral and once again it will be flooding the elegant arches with incredible whiskies from all over Scotland and the rest of the world.

Now in it’s 5th year it is becoming one of the UK’s most established whisky festivals and to mark this tremendous 5th birthday they’ll be pulling out one or two special classes.

Each ticket will include;

  • Entry to the festival 12-5pm
  • Glencairn tasting glass
  • A bottle of water (for obvious purposes)
  • The Festival Guide
  • All Whiskies sampled in the main hall (not including ‘under the counter’ drams)

The vast majority of whiskies on show are available to taste within the ticket price. However, ‘Under the Counter’ Token drams simply allow you access to some of the rare and more exclusive whiskies in the festival. More details to follow.

The Whisky Exchange will also be at the show to take care of all your purchasing needs and selling every whisky that you will find in the show.

Masterclasses
Kavalan Vs Scotland, £10, 1pm-2pm

TWL founder Eddie Ludlow will be putting your palates to the test in this blind tasting featuring 6 whiskies, 3 from Scotland and 3 from Kavalan.  6 fantastic whiskies which are NOT available to taste in the main hall, two of which retail for well over £100 a bottle. Not one to be missed.

Eddie Vs Colin, £10, 2.30pm-3.30pm

Watch in amazement as Eddie and Colin Dunn, Brand Ambassador for Diageo Single Malt, duke it out in a tasting of some of their favourite whiskies this year. Sparks will fly, rest assured of that!

PLEASE NOTE THAT YOU MUST HAVE A GENERAL ENTRY TICKET IN ORDER TO TAKE PART IN EITHER OF THESE CLASSES!
