Liverpool Noise Presents; Liverpool Calling At The Magnet 25th July

We are excited to announce our line up for The Magnet stage as part of Liverpool Calling Music Festival on 25th July. Our stage will focus on local talent featuring some brilliant up and coming bands as well as some of Liverpool’s most popular acts. To clue you up on our line up check out the band features below;

Last Line Out EP Launch
Last Line Out

Last Line Out are a slick blues inspired rock band who are all about ‘getting people on their feet, and keeping them moving!’ In April they released their new EP, recorded at the legendary Parr Street Studios and have been busy playing gigs across the North West showcasing their energetic set.

Antidotes Band
Antidotes

Antidotes are a freshfaced four piece from Manchester who specialise in 80’s infused indie/pop rock, sounding similar to Bombay Bicycle Club and Mystery Jets. Antidotes combine these 80’s hooks with an alternative rock youth, to create music that keeps you listening. They have recently played The Jacaranda and headlined Manchester’s Night & Day.

Detuned Radio
Detuned Radio

Detuned Radio are a fairly new Klaxon-esque electronic duo and currently a bit understated. Social media won’t tell you much about the band, but trust us they are worth catching live. They will be playing an electrifying set. They supported electronic one-man-band East India Youth last year, have played Threshold Festival in the Baltic Triangle earlier this year and already have an EP out on iTunes, ‘Substance’.

Scarlet Band
Scarlet

Scarlet are a freshfaced five piece from Liverpool, forming only at the beginning of 2014. In spite of this, they have rapidly gained popularity and already have an EP, Fishes, launched late April with a launch gig at LEAF. Their indie pop is teamed well with smooth, sweet, female vocals and has already captured the attention of producer Jon Withnall, and with a back catalogue of working with bands such as The Coral and Space, having his support can’t be a bad thing.

Go Fiasco
Go Fiasco

If you haven’t seen Go Fiasco’s name on nearly every gig poster for District and Zanzibar, then you’ve been looking in the wrong places. They describe themselves as the less obvious genre of ‘sludge pop’, but clearly ‘sludge pop’ is gaining popularity with 15,000 plays already on their Soundcloud. On hearing Daniel Duggan’s vocals, nobody would blame you for thinking he was Ian McCulloch’s long lost son, and with a third single already in the making the Go Fiasco juggernaut is set to make some waves.

Broken Men are fast becoming one of the most talked out bands in Liverpool. Indie rock and funk elements permeate their live sets. Often playing with a brass section, which adds to the weight of the impressive vocals. They have toured Russia after coming to the attention of Rolling Stone Russia whilst they were over in Liverpool, as well as having a successful trip around Europe under their belt they are a band going from strength to strength. Championed by BBC introducing, BBC6 Music and cast on stage alongside giants such as Zane Lowe and Alt-J.

Tea Street Band
Tea Street Band

Tea Street Band have already gained themselves a sizeable local following and not without reason, these guys have probably played every venue and every gig night to attract the crowds with their sunny guitars mixed with electronic sound, giving them a New Order feel. In the past, they have gained ‘Track of The Week’ on both Radio 1 and Radio 6 and received positive reviews from publications such as NME and The Independent.

Plus A Special DJ Set From Ian Skelly From The Coral Will be rounding off the night in style, playing tunes to keep the party going.
