Liverpool Food & Drink Festival Announce Exclusive Candlelit Banquet In Sefton Park

This year the Liverpool Food & Drink Festival celebrate their 10th anniversary and they’ve made no exception with their festival line up on 16th and 17th September. However, this year they couldn’t just leave it there, as they will be kick starting the festival with something really really special and something that has never been done before in Liverpool.

On Friday 15th September you are invited to their biggest celebration yet; Beauty and the Feast hosted by celebrity chef Gizzi Erskine AND a live acoustic and intimate performance from The Lightning Seeds.

This one off exclusive event will take place in the beautiful surroundings of Sefton Park under a huge marquee laid out with long candlelit banquet tables and hanging festoon lighting. Think fire pits and fire flares to add a warm ambience to the evening with a real boho festival feel.  It’s going to be a party like no other!

Chef Gizzi Erskine is an advocate and innovator of the pop-up and underground food scenes. Best known for presenting Channel 4’s Cook Yourself Thin, she has also published the hugely successful Gizzi’s Kitchen Magic. Gizzi’s menu for the evening will be Asian inspired and with her banquet parties at Festival No.6 we know you are in for a mouth watering treat. Roasted duck and watermelon salad, lamb spit roast in bao buns and Baked Vietnamese coffee cheesecake with coffee caramel and popcorn are just some of the treats for you on the menu.

And as you’re slipping into food heaven whist merrily sipping on your fizz The Lightning Seeds will be turning things up with a truly unforgettable intimate night of acoustic music that will have you out your chair and dancing the night away.

Tickets for this special night are £75 and are limited to just 200 available so you will need to act fast to avoid missing out. You can book tickets on the official Liverpool Food & Drink Festival website here
