Hot Water Comedy Club Introduces Crapbattles

Ever wondered what happens when comedians and rap battles collide?

Hot water comedy club introduces Crapbattles!

With hosts like comedian Tony Carroll and Steven Oshea, the audience were in for a treat, and they had us in stitches all the way through the show.

For those of you who are confused here, let me explain exactly what goes down… A pair of contestants will each take a turn to battle for the title, each pair of contestants will have 3 minutes and… ANYTHING GOES.

The show consisted of seven acts going head to head to win the title Champion of Crapbattles, one including a rematch from the previous show in September when Crapbattles had first been tested at Liverpool Comedy Festival.

Instead of the old pen and paper results, they have gone technical and the public can now vote online for who their favourite comedian is. The audience were going mad taking to twitter through the night supporting their favourite acts, mentioning mainly the most interesting of the night #CairneyVsCalvert

The scouse humour had everyone crying, struggling to breathe and in hysterics laughing. And with another show set and a fresh lot of comedians practicing to win the title for April’s Crapbattle, I would be first in line to grab tickets, it’s a night you won’t want to miss, however, if you’re easily offended I would stay far away, these comedians are relentless.

The favourite quote of the night voted by the audience is Lewis Calvert’s – ‘you’re getting bodied.’

You can get your tickets online here.
