Baltic Weekender Announce First Wave of Acts

This June, The Baltic Triangle sees a new cultural event take over their venues, as Abandon Silence and 24 Kitchen Street join forces to celebrate the musical diversity that the area has become renowned for.

It’s not been easy for The Baltic Triangle recently; with property developers plans guaranteed to have a negative impact on the alternative venues, the guys behind the driving forces of the alternative music scene in Liverpool have teamed up, promising a weekend celebration not to be missed.

The first few days of spring have reminded us that the sun does exist, and the team behind the Baltic Weekender is getting us excited for the summer event by announcing the first of the line-up acts this morning. The teaser announcement that Axel Boman, Gerd Janson and Move D will be heading to sunny Liverpool in June, to name a few, is just a taster of what the team have up their sleeves, with many more acts yet to be released in the coming weeks, including information about the events after party on Sunday 4th June.

Alongside Abandon Silence and 24 Kitchen Street is a team of playing partners from other music promoters across the city. The event will take place in numerous venues across The Baltic Triangle, with some music promoters having their own stage to play with. The guys behind Boogaloo, an ever-expanding disco night in Liverpool, have said they can’t wait to be involved in such an exciting project; “Move D all night long, can’t complain with that! Proud to be a party partner,” as said by Jack Tilston. The event promises to combine both large acts that Abandon Silence is known for, and a chance for local and upcoming DJs to play as well; a promotion of unity that makes Liverpool the city it is.

Promising to be one of the most exciting and anticipated events in The Baltic Triangle this year, early birds have already sold out, but the sale of standard release tickets is in full swing.
